History

FOUNDED IN 1955, Combustion Heat and Power had over 35 years of operational service from its headquarters in York, PA.
The company provided a variety of boiler mechanical services throughout Pennsylvania.

Started as a subsidiary of Combustion Heat and Power in 1988 by Bruce Ketrick, Guardian CSC focused on water treatment products for the boiler and cooling tower market. The goal was never to be the biggest water treatment company, but to be the best. This was accomplished by building credibility and trust with a wide range of customers.

In 1998, the company focused on a new approach to water treatment. This meant an increased emphasis on engineering and consulting services in addition to specialty chemical sales.

Guardian CSC has continued its focus on total water management for customers’ water treatment needs, which now includes:

  • Complete water treatment equipment offerings
  • Comprehensive line of support services
  • Complete installation, repair, and cleaning services
  • Customized chemical production
  • Specialty chemical products and services

Over time, the sales territory has expanded to the entire Mid-Atlantic Region.

One of the nation’s leading water treatment providers, Guardian CSC is the largest independently owned water treatment/service company in Pennsylvania, and one of the fastest growing companies in the Northeast.
